Our work and events throughout 2018
#12 Celebrating MECA's one year existenceFor the past year we had been working hard in order to raise awareness for the importance of e-commerce, mapping the challenges and devoting ourselves to education. In the very end of this successful and first year of establishing the MACA, with its members, partners and friends, along with the holiday spirit we raised a glass to even more successful moments in 2019.
#11 Memorandum for collaboration with MASIT (December)We signed a memorandum for collaboration with MASIT (pisi si so znaci nz) in order work together towards the growth of e-commerce, improvement of skills, digital literacy and overall, improving the e-commerce sector in North Macedonia.
#10 Memorandum with the Faculty of Economics, Ss. Cyril and Methodius University (November)With signing a memorandum for collaboration with the Faculty of Economics in Skopje, we increase the collaboration with higher education institutions in order to encourage the involvement of professors and students as a growing force for the e-commerce development.
#9 First annual e-commerce conference in Macedonia (October)North Macedonia got its first e-commerce conference! The topic was : "E-commerce: E-future for E-Macedonia!" , inspired by our strong beliefs that the future for a better Macedonia lies in the digital era along with a smart society in which e-commerce plays a big role.
#8 Memorandum with FINKI (September)The e-commerce Association in North Macedonia and the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering signed a memorandum for collaboration in order to unite and improve the development of e-commerce in North Macedonia.
#7 Hosting an event with the Customs administration and DHL about e-commerce cross borders (September)The MECA along with the Customs administration and DHL organized an educative event where all e-commerce members had the opportunity to hear about the 'made-easier' customs procedures and the importance of e-commerce and the process of delivery directly from representatives of the Customs administration.
#6 Memorandum with the Customs administration of North Macedonia (June/July)The MECA signed a memorandum for collaboration with the Customs administration of North Macedonia which also represented a welcome to the Customs administration as honorary members in MECA.
#5 Promotion of the report containing analysis about North Macedonia's e-commerceAfter five months of hard work and intensive research, on the 21st of June we published and promoted the analysis report about North Macedonia's e-commerce called; "Preparedness, potential, factual situations, barriers and recommendations for the development of e-commerce in North Macedonia"
#4 UNCTAD E-commerce Week (April)The President of MECA, Nina Angelovska, represented our country on the first global gathering of the world's e-commerce associations on e-Commerce week. The leaders of the associations discussed the challenges which their countries are facing, shared experiences and helpful advices.
#3 Building capacity: "Ladies in e-commerce" (April)"Ladies in e-commerce" was a two-day educational event which was consisted of training and workshops in the field of e-commerce. The main goal was to provide knowledge for the e-commerce which will contribute to increasing the capacity and competitiveness in MSME, taking into account the gender dimension.
#2: Press-conference- Launch & Brunch (March)The establishing of the Association was introduced in March throughout the press-conference along with its mission, vision and program. Also, the President of MECA shared statistical data about the growth of e-commerce in Macedonia.
#1 Yearly meeting (March)On the yearly meeting which occurred in Hotel Porta attended 23 representatives from the companies which are members of the MECA. We shared ideas, comments and propositions which are connected to the e-commerce challenges in different industries.

Who is affected?
The goals of e-Commerce Macedonia are to support the interests of e-Commerce companies, contribute to the knowledge and diffusion of e-Commerce, including related services and technologies, and to bring down the barriers that limit the development of the sector. Through activities as diverse as lobbying, legal & fiscal support, training and research, the organization aims to build strong e-Commerce environment in Macedonia.
A holistic approach is inevitable including all affected institutions and businesses across various industries to enable sustainable growth across the industry.
