Part of the session were more than hundred representatives from various e-commerce companies, who export or want to export their products. The session developed a constructive discussion in which the attendees explained the problems they face: expensive administrative and customs procedures, slow delivery of products at relatively high costs, lack of tracking number at some post offices and non-responsiveness at some post offices.
The session explained, among other things, the full process of online payment, including ways to increase the security and reliability of online payment, in order to protect both e-shoppers and e-merchants.
More than 100 participants attended and followed all the information presented by the speakers. Speakers at the panel discussion were Tina Petkoska from Halkbank AD Skopje, Veljan Popovski from NLB Banka AD Skopje, Stefan Peposki from Stopanska Banka AD Skopje, Filomena Pljakovska Asprovska from the CaSys processor and Igor Velichkovski from the National Bank of North Macedonia. In the second half of the session, Branislav Markovski from the Fund for Innovation and Technological Development presented the active call “Startup 2” intended for co-financed grants for newly established companies “start-ups” and “spin-offs”.
During the event, Igor Kuzevski, who is an expert in the field of personal data protection, held a lecture through which he helped the attendees to get acquainted with GDPR, as well as the changes in the regulation on personal data protection and the steps to be taken by aspect of implementation. The informative lecture was followed by an interactive discussion between the attendees and the lecturer which additionally contributed to informing the members of the Macedonian E-commerce Association about the importance of GDPR and the protection of personal data in general.
Darjan Radenkovic, Director of Business Development at Vidi Vaka, gave a presentation on “Top 5 Marketing Resolutions for 2022”, talking about the marketing resolutions that he considers most important for businesses to cover and implement in order to have a successful 2022.
After the end of the interactive session with Darjan, together with our members, associates, friends and partners without whom the Macedonian e-commerce would not be what it is, we did a pre-new year’s toast and wished each other countless new successes in the new 2022.
