With the idea to inspire and help women – digital entrepreneurs and to ensure that women from the region have a place and a voice at the table for creating policies for a more inclusive digital economy, about 50 women from Macedonia and other countries from the Western Balkans are participating in this event. who have their own e-business or are part of the digital sector of the company they work for.
The masterclass was a perfect opportunity for the participants to connect with other women from the region, to be able to show their e-businesses to each other, to learn important new things from experienced and proven speakers and of course, to have fun while doing all this.
About 10 speakers from the country and abroad were part of the Masterclass, including speakers from companies like Booking.com and Seos.si. Speaker sessions covered the ups and downs of online business development, SEO and social media management, how to turn raw data into digital intelligence, and more.
During the first day of the two-day Masterclass, the participants had the chance to hear the presentations of eminent regional experts on topics related to the digital economy, such as user experience (UX) and customer retention, where the trends in these areas were presented. they also broadcast the panel discussion on e-commerce policy making entitled “Building strong digital ecosystems – perspectives from the Balkans”. The panel discussion aimed to showcase the diverse perspectives of the panelists on ways to support digital entrepreneurship and opportunities for women to build a thriving and inclusive digital economy. Panelists of this discussion were Ms. Maylinda Demko, Senior Advisor to the Minister of Finance and Economy of Albania, Ms. Nina Angelovska, UNCTAD Ambassador for e-commerce in the Balkans, as well as Ms. Zorana Milidrag, co-owner of 8 Services and Global E-Commerce Director of Sport Vision
