E-COMMERCE FOR ALL [E-COMMERCE FOR ALL]\n<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The \u201cEcommerce4All Initiative\u201d, implemented by the Macedonian E-Commerce Association, with the support of the USAID Business Ecosystem Development Project during 2020 and the first half of 2021, was implemented in response to the mapped barriers to growth and development of e-commerce in the Republic of North Macedonia in the E-Commerce Analysis Report 2018. The initiative consisted of three main components: (1) development of a web platform www.ecommerce4all.mk<\/a>; (2) conducting learn-a-thon training to enhance the digital skills of existing e-commerce companies on a variety of relevant e-commerce topics; and (3) supporting 40 MSMEs to open an additional sales channel \u2013 their own e-shop within a local marketplace platform or independently. Additionally, within the project, (4) the first register of e-traders in North Macedonia was developed and launched in cooperation with the five banks offering e-commerce and (5) the badge for a verified e-merchant.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

The created web platform aims to present the key aspects of the e-commerce ecosystem in a detailed, easy-to-understand and interactive way: regulation, delivery and payment. In addition to these three modules, the platform contains two more modules, one of which is aimed at promoting success stories in the field of e-commerce in our country in order to encourage other companies and entrepreneurs at raising awareness and education about the harmful consequences of the shadow economy. in e-commerce. So far there are over 500 registered companies on the web platform.<\/p>\n

2. Conducting 5 learn-a-thon trainings to develop the digital skills of existing e-merchants\n\n<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The five educational learn-a-thon training were based on the following topics: social media management, email campaigns, customer care management, digital business transformation and marketing based on key indicators for increasing digital skills in MSMEs. Over 160 participants from over 140 companies from the country took part in these learn-a-thon trainings. The training aimed to improve the digital skills of the participants who came from existing e-commerce businesses, who can later apply the acquired skills at work, in order to achieve faster growth and development of companies.<\/p>\n

With this initiative, AETM also had a direct impact on increasing the e-commerce market offer, thus providing financial and advisory support to 40 MSMEs to open their own e-shop during the pandemic and to quickly adapt to change by opening a new sales channel.<\/p>\n

The \u201cVerified E-merchant\u201d badge is a visual mark placed on the websites of domestic e-shops, which helps shoppers to more easily assess that the online store is a registered legal entity that meets the basic legal requirements for conducting e-commerce. Interested e-merchants apply by filling out an online application (form), and then in accordance with the established procedure and rules, a check is made whether the minimum conditions for awarding a badge for a certified e-merchant are met. The badge was launched in January 2021, and so far over 80 e-merchants have passed the verification procedure and have acquired the badge for a verified e-merchant.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
